The consistency rule makes sure your profit comes from steady trading and not from a single exceptional day. It limits how much of your total profit can come from your best trading day.
Consistency rule by program
| Program | During the Challenge | On the funded account |
|---|---|---|
| Challenge Flex | No consistency rule | 50% on Livex |
| Challenge Edge | 50% | 50% on Livex |
How it works
Your best day cannot represent more than 50% of your total profit.
Formula: best day profit ÷ total profit ≤ 50%
Example on a 50K Edge account (profit target $3,000):
| Situation | Best day | Total profit | Consistency | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | $1,200 | $3,000 | 40% | ✓ Rule met |
| B | $2,000 | $3,000 | 67% | ✗ Keep trading |
| B, later | $2,000 | $4,000 | 50% | ✓ Rule met |
In situation B, the account is not breached. You simply need to keep trading until your total profit is large enough for your best day to represent 50% or less.
Good to know
- The consistency rule never breaches your account. It only affects when you can pass or request a payout.
- Your current consistency percentage is shown in real time on your account page.
